Top SchoolCurtis Rissi is a Principal Solutions Architect and global App Modernization leader at AWS with 25+ years of hands-on experience building web apps, enterprise platforms, startups, and teams. He has a long track record of improving developer experience—from leading Esri’s critical web properties and internal platforms to guiding partners at AWS through containers, hybrid cloud, and now AI-driven development. Curtis specializes in shifting focus from infrastructure to workloads, helping organizations compress multi-year projects into much shorter delivery cycles using AI-enhanced tooling and platform thinking. Known for marrying practical engineering with strategic partner enablement, he also brings product-minded instincts from earlier startup and freelance work. Based in Redlands, California, he pairs technical depth with a knack for mentorship and an unexpected talent for making excellent Korean BBQ.
