Top SchoolDafne Kiyui is a pragmatic engineering leader with 12 years of experience building high-impact web and video products, currently serving as Director of Engineering at abillion. She has a track record of measurable results—doubling search traffic and cutting profile load times 3x—while bootstrapping Piktochart Video with a three-person team and owning both frontend and DevOps responsibilities. Comfortable tackling tech debt and performance bottlenecks, she blends product-minded engineering with a strong focus on user experience and team culture. A long-time Linux and Nix enthusiast who won her first role by reverse-engineering a product, Dafne champions ethics-driven software around sustainability, data sovereignty, and freedom. As a transgender Malaysian of Bidayuh heritage, she brings lived perspective to inclusion without seeking tokenism and is actively looking for her next opportunity to make a positive impact.
