Dakuo Wang is a human-centered AI researcher and associate professor bridging Khoury College of Computer Sciences and the College of Arts, Media and Design at Northeastern University, currently also a Visiting Associate Professor at Stanford and an Amazon Scholar. With 12 years of experience spanning academic leadership, industry research at IBM and MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab, and international engineering roles, he focuses on HCI, CSCW, and human-AI collaboration to democratize AI for individuals and organizations. He founded Northeastern’s Human-Centered AI Lab and the AI Application Graduate Program, combining design, empirical evaluation, and applied AI to enable real-world human-AI teaming. An ACM Distinguished Speaker and frequent program/ editorial committee member, he blends deep technical training (PhD UCI) with cross-cultural product and research experience in the U.S., China, and France.
