Senior🎓
Top SchoolDamien Burke is an engineering leader and founder with two decades of experience building startups and product teams, currently serving as Principal Software Engineer and Board Member at Transparent Classroom in Los Angeles. He specializes in establishing agile, sustainable engineering cultures that move teams from annual releases to rapid, iterative delivery while improving quality and lowering costs. Damien blends hands-on software engineering—bug fixes, feature development, standards, onboarding—with product management and customer-facing roles, notably stewarding OpaVote through a three-person cooperative. He has founded and scaled multiple ventures (Neverbust, Sell Your Seat, 52 Sketches) and led cross-functional transformation at companies like Voom and Sweety High. Known for pragmatic training in pair programming, TDD, and user-centric engineering, he also brings regulatory and B2B onboarding experience to product development. Comfortable switching between code, product, and board-level strategy, he pairs entrepreneurial grit with institutional rigor from an MIT CS background.
