Senior🎓
Top SchoolDan Davies is a Senior Software Engineer based in London with 10 years’ experience applying data-driven and machine learning approaches to high-throughput materials and chemical discovery. He blends a PhD in Chemistry with hands-on engineering roles at Imperial College London and BenevolentAI, building scalable cheminformatics and AI-for-chemistry platforms and production cloud workflows. His work bridges laboratory science and software, automating model-building from large chemical and biological datasets and collaborating closely with chemists and biologists to turn research needs into reliable tools. Known for shipping performant, sustainable computational chemistry systems, he also has industrial R&D experience in sensor fabrication from an internship at Merck. Quietly, he prefers pragmatic, low-cost screening techniques that unlock vast regions of chemical space rather than one-off complex simulations.
