Top SchoolDan Schultz is a senior software engineer based in Palo Alto with 15 years of experience specializing in front-end web development and user-facing product architecture. He has led front-end teams and tech initiatives at Vertexvis, DoorDash, and Mixbook, where he architected modular rendering engines, designed RESTful APIs, and shipped large single-page applications that handled millions of user assets. Known for turning product requirements into extensible, performant code, he pairs expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript and Dart with a background in Flex/ActionScript and backend frameworks like Ruby on Rails. Dan mentors engineers, instituted CI/CD practices, and has co-invented multiple software patents—evidence of his blend of product intuition and technical rigor. He’s now focused on deepening web expertise while expanding into mobile app development, bringing a practical appreciation for usability and measurable performance gains. An uncommonly persistent engineer, he’s been available “around the clock” in past roles to resolve critical customer issues and ship on tight feedback cycles.
