Top SchoolDan Vega is a Spring Developer Advocate with 15 years of professional experience and more than 20 years of passion for computing, currently helping developers succeed at VMware Tanzu and Broadcom. He blends hands-on Java and Spring expertise with enterprise architecture experience—having designed distributed systems that handle millions of transactions per hour and led hiring for large Java teams. A former curriculum developer and classroom instructor, Dan is equally at home mentoring bootcamp students as he is making architectural tradeoffs for global teams. He’s a practical problem solver who translates business requirements into clear developer-facing guidance and content, and quietly improves onboarding and productivity through documentation and teaching. Based in Rocky River, Ohio, he balances advocacy work with family life and a persistent curiosity that keeps him both learning and sharing.
