Top SchoolDaniel Grossberg is a software engineer transitioning from a decade-long career in marketing and brand strategy into full-time engineering, currently advancing through a second BS in Computer Science at Oregon State University. At Principal Financial Group he progressed rapidly from intern to Software Engineer II, applying practical full-stack skills honed in civic tech and startup-like environments. His background includes a competitive Coding it Forward fellowship and hands-on SaaS work where he cut SQL query load drastically and improved page load times by up to 45%. Prior roles leading large teams at UPS and international brand strategy assignments across Southeast Asia give him uncommon strengths in cross-cultural communication, stakeholder management, and operational leadership. He combines product-focused engineering with a storyteller’s sense for user needs and business outcomes, a blend that helps translate complex technical work into clear value for organizations. Based in Harrisburg, PA, he’s building a bridge between creative strategy and robust software delivery, with a global perspective shaped by Fulbright research and extensive international experience.
