Top SchoolDaniel James is a software engineer in New York with 11 years of experience building user-focused web products, currently working on web platforms at Blackbird Labs. He led frontend efforts on Helium’s Blockchain Explorer and onchain governance tooling, then helped shape the Uniswap Wallet and its frontend styling system through its early high-volume growth. Comfortable spanning UX and engineering, he contributes to open source (including front-end improvements and accessibility fixes to the widely used phpBB project) and ships small, experimental web products in his spare time. His background spans research and prototyping at Microsoft, product work at Covalent, and UX-driven engineering at IBM, reflecting a blend of design sensitivity and production-grade implementation. Colleagues know him as a builder who thinks about the future of technology and closes the gap by writing both code and occasional longer-form storytelling.
