Top SchoolDaniel K is a systems development engineer in Seattle with over 16 years of hands-on experience and a MS in Computer Science, currently focused on systems and cloud engineering at Amazon. He brings deep expertise across cloud, cybersecurity, storage, and backup technologies, having managed Oracle cloud services, enterprise tape libraries, and modern SIEM deployments. Comfortable in C, Java, and Python, he pairs scripting and infrastructure-as-code skills (Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions) to automate provisioning, monitoring, and incident response. At Upside he led detection and response efforts—blocking credential-stuffing attacks and deploying Hunters and Panther across multi-cloud environments. His background spans both low-level storage operations and cloud-native security automation, a combination that helps bridge legacy infrastructure with modern DevSecOps practices. Known for pragmatic tooling and playbooks, he often surfaces operational context into ticketing and SOC workflows to speed remediation.
