Summary
Daniel Madrid is a Robotics Perception & Navigation team lead with 10 years of experience building sensor-driven autonomy systems for automotive and robotics platforms. He has deep hands-on expertise in lidar, camera and radar integration, sensor fusion and localization implemented in C++ and Python, and has led successful cross-disciplinary sensor integration projects at Jaguar Land Rover and ANYbotics. A proven people leader and mentor, he created and scaled a high-performing perception team, delivered internal training to over 1,200 colleagues, and coached more than 20 graduates through placements. He combines research-led proof-of-concept work with production-focused architectures that scale from ADAS to full autonomy, and maintains an entrepreneurial streak from co-founding a 3D-printing marketplace. Based in Zurich, he’s continually upskilling (sensor-fusion and C++ nanodegrees) and is currently training for his first marathon, reflecting the same discipline he brings to complex engineering challenges.
