Currently VP Data Management at State Street and formerly Corporate Head of Advanced Analytics at Anasac, he combines hands-on expertise in R, Python, Julia, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Snowflake) and data lakes with strategic leadership driving data-driven transformation across multinational operations. An industrial engineer with a master’s from Universidad de Chile, he has led cross-functional teams to deploy production ML models, analytical platforms and data governance in companies with complex, regulated processes. He has also taught university courses in programming, machine learning and optimization, signaling a commitment to knowledge transfer and talent development. Known for translating mathematical modeling into practical business outcomes, he routinely bridges technical depth and stakeholder strategy to deliver measurable ROI. A detail that often surprises colleagues: his thesis work used transport transactional GPS and payment data for demand estimation—an early example of applying operational data to analytical problems.
