Top SchoolDanny Sauer is a Principal Infrastructure Engineer with 13+ years building and modernizing large-scale Linux and cloud infrastructure, from on‑prem data centers to AWS/GCP/Azure and Kubernetes. He combines hands‑on coding (Python, Perl, Bash, Go, Terraform, Ansible) with systems thinking—automating everything, tuning OS internals, and migrating legacy file/config inventories into distributed systems like Elasticsearch. Danny has led and staffed remote infrastructure teams, owned security and compliance workflows, and driven operational improvements (patching, image management, CI/CD, monitoring with Prometheus/Graphite/Grafana). He’s pragmatic about tooling and standards, often implementing lightweight process improvements (ADRs, release automation) that yield outsized reliability gains. Comfortable diving into new technologies quickly, he also mentors engineers and bridges Security, SRE, and product teams to deliver auditable, scalable solutions.
