Darshan Mandge is a Cells Neuromathematics Scientist with a decade of experience building biophysically accurate single-neuron models and the open-source software that powers them. Currently leading single-cell modeling and algorithm development at the Open Brain Institute, he enables virtual-lab experiments that bridge neuron-level physiology and large-scale brain simulations. Previously he led detailed neuron-electrical modeling at EPFL’s Blue Brain Project and has a strong academic foundation from IIT Bombay, blending mathematical modeling, physiology, and biomedical engineering. Beyond research, he teaches and mentors—running tutorials on NEURON and producing reproducible tooling—so his work is as much about enabling others to simulate as it is about advancing models themselves.
