Top SchoolDavid Barkhuizen is a seasoned software engineer with 14 years of experience designing and delivering secure payment and financial systems, currently shaping architecture and data pipelines at PayIP. He blends deep cryptography and EMV expertise with hands-on engineering—having led Tap-on-Phone and PCI-compliant payment projects, EMV L2 kernel work, and cloud migrations to AWS. Comfortable across Python, FastAPI, containerization, CI/CD and data tooling, he often translates analysts’ domain knowledge into production software and automates complex ETL and certification workflows.
