Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolDavid Cereijo is a senior software engineer and data engineering leader based in Barcelona with nine years of experience building reliable, consumer-friendly data platforms across startups and large organisations. He has led teams through complex migrations and integrations—most recently coordinating the next iteration of Afterpay’s data platform at Block while also partnering with Europe stakeholders—and now drives engineering at Prematch. Skilled in modern data stacks (dbt, ELT), distributed systems and operational best practices, he excels at turning messy legacy pipelines into simple, maintainable solutions. A pragmatic communicator comfortable with async and cross-continental collaboration, he routinely balances hands-on delivery with architectural coordination for teams of 5–20 engineers. Outside work he’s equally likely to be planning a data migration or playing padel and hosting barbecues, reflecting a collaborative, down-to-earth leadership style.
