Senior🎓
Top SchoolDavid Evans is a senior AI and software leader with 10+ years of experience building and scaling production ML and GenAI systems across consumer and enterprise products. He has led teams at Google, Duolingo, and now Instacart, shipping LLM-powered features, on-device privacy-first ML, and real-time speech and conversation models used by millions. Equally at home in strategy and hands-on engineering, he blends deep learning, BI architecture, and app development to turn prototypes into reliable, product-grade systems. He also has a history of technical leadership in agencies and startups—running engineering teams, teaching mobile development, and advising on organizational strategy. Known for shipping both infrastructure (e.g., Smart Reply, Magic Compose) and applied ML experiences (Duolingo Video Call), he focuses on practical, privacy-conscious deployments. David’s background in mobile, cloud, and ML gives him a rare ability to connect low-level engineering tradeoffs to business outcomes.
