Top SchoolDavid Gold is a Senior Software Engineer in New York with 11 years of experience building low-latency streaming systems and data-driven applications using modern C++, Python, Kafka, Redis, and SQL. At Bloomberg he designs and delivers real-time enterprise data streams and previously built distributed quant platforms on Kubernetes for BQuant, blending production-grade engineering with quantitative tooling. His background spans hands-on systems work—from restoring and modernizing a campus supercomputer to implementing distributed Spark workflows—to applied ML and NLP research. David combines interests in algorithms, finance, and economic policy with practical experience shipping reliable, low-latency services for demanding markets. He is comfortable across the stack and in both performance-critical C++ and data-science-focused Python environments. A detail that sets him apart: early career hardware and systems rescue work gave him uncommon depth in operationalizing complex distributed compute environments.
