👤
SeniorDavid Hardtke is a seasoned data engineer and former machine learning leader with 15 years of experience building production ML and analytics systems across startups and large tech companies. Currently at Rippling, he previously led ML, recommendation, and advertising science teams at LinkedIn, Pandora, and Bright (acquired by LinkedIn), and has deep expertise in end-to-end experiment analysis, uplift/incrementality measurement, and large-scale batch training pipelines. He combines hands-on engineering (BigQuery, dbt, Looker/Redash) with statistical rigor, having been the go-to liaison on experimental design and inference for product and business stakeholders. His background spans founding startups, directing search and relevance work at Cloudant and Surf Canyon, and even experimental nuclear physics research (Ph.D.), reflecting a rare blend of academic rigor and product-focused execution. Notably, he has repeatedly translated complex behavioral and ad-systems signals into actionable models for revenue and user-growth optimization.
