David Hyman is a hands-on CTO and full‑stack engineering leader with 12+ years of experience building regulated, customer-facing products—currently steering Wysh’s engineering organization while still writing production code. He has led mobile-to-platform transformations, shipped three regulated insurance products (Term Life, Accidental Death, Savings+), and architected a configurable, data-driven UI system that aligns engineering, product, and design. A practitioner of BDD and example mapping, he operationalized cross-functional requirement cycles across compliance and finance and formalized engineering release cadences and testing with an expanding Cucumber suite. David is an early adopter of agentic coding (Copilot → Codex → Claude Code) and is converting manual QA into SDET capability via agent-powered workflows, while architecting a Beam VM microservices carrier platform. Trained originally as a musician with advanced degrees in music and technology, he brings a creator’s discipline and iterative craftsmanship to complex product and regulatory challenges.
