Top SchoolDavid Kobia is a hands-on Head of Engineering with 12 years of experience building AI-native products and leading teams, currently architecting and implementing the AI core at Trustworthy. He combines production-level coding with leadership, owning RAG, agentic workflows, LLM evaluation, prompt/context engineering, and the backend and security needed for sensitive data. A serial founder and technical leader, he co-founded Ushahidi and BRCK—projects that brought open-source crisis mapping and rugged connectivity to global use. His background spans embedded connectivity, enterprise systems architecture, and research-informed practice from time as an MIT Media Lab Director’s Fellow. Based in Atlanta, he values an IC-plus-leader balance and still personally ships critical infrastructure code.
