Top SchoolDavid Kurutz is a senior software engineer with 15 years in technology and a decade of focused engineering experience, currently contributing to Reddit's platform after several years leading backend and full-stack efforts at Zype. He builds resilient, distributed systems—evidenced by XorroP2P, a BitTorrent-like file-sharing project he co-created in Ruby that implements a Kademlia DHT, sharding, and a Sinatra admin UI from scratch. Comfortable across stack layers, David has delivered automation and billing tooling that recovered recurring revenue and has managed small engineering teams for client-facing infrastructure projects. Based in New York, he blends practical production experience with an experimental mindset, often exploring peer-to-peer and distributed architectures beyond his day-to-day work.
