Senior🎓
Top SchoolDavid Lin is a versatile software engineer with nine years of professional experience and a Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy, currently applying his expertise at Boeing after recent work building flight-software testing frameworks for Sierra Space. He has led cross-disciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical systems across quantum computing, aerospace, automotive, medical devices, finance, and mobile platforms, blending deep scientific rigor with pragmatic software engineering. Known for optimizing algorithms and test infrastructure—sometimes improving performance by orders of magnitude—he moves fluidly between Python, C/C++, MATLAB, Swift, Flutter, and cloud services. David combines hands-on coding, architecture, and mentoring with a track record of formal documentation and regulatory-aware development (SaMD/FDA), and he enjoys teaching and growing engineering teams. An uncommon thread through his career is translating advanced research (e.g., novel astrophysical algorithms and laser cooling experiments) into production-grade software that solves real-world problems.
