Top SchoolDavid Lopez is a fractional Tech Lead and Product Engineer with 11+ years of hands-on experience building SaaS platforms that convert complex requirements into scalable, production-ready systems. He has led end-to-end product delivery for startups and enterprise clients—shipping AI-driven voice agents that automated 70% of front-desk calls and a fundraising platform used by 1,000+ athletes—while balancing technical trade-offs with user-focused product decisions. Comfortable across Node.js, Laravel, TypeScript, Vue/React and AWS, he designs RAG pipelines, integrates TTS/STT engines, and implements payment and bank integrations that work at scale. As a Top Rated Upwork freelancer with 2,000+ billed hours, he partners with US companies as a senior engineer without the full-time overhead, emphasizing outcomes over features. His background in telecom and networking (MikroTik/Ubiquiti certs) and experience founding a WISP give him a practical edge in systems and infrastructure reliability not obvious from typical web resumes. Based in Medellín, he combines pragmatic engineering, technical leadership, and a product-first mindset to ship measurable business impact.
