Senior🎓
Top SchoolDavid Lu is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with over a decade of experience designing and operating 24/7 commercial platforms, specializing in AWS, Linux, Infrastructure-as-Code and observability. He has driven reliability and automation at scale across telecom, banking and ad-tech domains, including five years at Tencent where he helped move real-time data processing from hour-level to second-level latency. At Vend, Spark/Qrious and ASB Bank he built PaaS, Big Data and ETL platforms, led migrations to Kubernetes/OpenShift, and implemented event-driven self-healing to reduce MTTR. Comfortable in both hands-on coding (Python, Shell, Java) and platform architecture, he combines CI/CD, monitoring, security and cost optimization into pragmatic SRE solutions. He also brings a data-first mindset—building dashboards and analytics with NumPy/Pandas and visualisation tools to drive operational decisions. Based in Auckland, he pairs large-enterprise rigor with startup-style automation and continuous improvement.
