Top SchoolDavid Mcmackins is a Technical Lead with 11 years of hands-on software experience, guiding a development team at Gainwell Technologies and owning major technical decisions and releases. He progressed from a self-taught hobbyist to a systems-minded engineer comfortable across the stack—from Java/JSP on Red Hat JBoss and Oracle PL/SQL to maintaining application servers and cloud-hosted GNU/Linux environments. Early work supporting 5,000+ clients honed his documentation, automation, and operational skills, including building robust shell-scripted backup and integrity systems for terabytes of data. A mathematician by training, he brings a pragmatic architecture mindset and a curiosity for “strange” low-level systems like the Nintendo Game Boy, reflecting an affinity for elegant, simple solutions.
