Top SchoolDavid Morenza is a Senior Software Engineer based in London with 14 years of professional experience and a strong focus on cloud-native backend systems for both startups and enterprises. He has spent the last seven years working in public cloud and the past four as a hands-on technical and team leader, shaping resilient microservice architectures for lending platforms, video cloud, and retail recommendation systems. Skilled in Java (Spring Boot, Micronaut), Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL and CI/CD, he blends practical engineering with product-facing responsibilities—writing design docs, refining epics and advising on non-functional requirements. At Tesco he helped build a recommendations engine that scaled to millions of requests and delivered measurable revenue and cost savings; at 10x Banking he owns core lending microservices in a SaaS SuperCore. Colleagues know him as a vocational technologist who prefers learning through building, and who pivots comfortably between coding, mentoring and on-call support. He brings a pragmatic, domain-driven approach to converting complex business needs into sustainable, testable systems.
