Top SchoolDavid Shekunts is an AI Tech Lead with 11+ years of experience designing and scaling high-load distributed systems across AI, IoT, fintech, gamedev, and SaaS. He has repeatedly transformed legacy platforms into resilient production services—supporting $175M/month in transactions and 1.7B events/day—and built and led distributed engineering teams across three continents. His hands-on stack spans Go, Python, Node.js, ClickHouse, Kafka, Redis, and modern ML tooling (PyTorch, transformers, PEFT, LlamaIndex), and he’s shipped end-to-end AI/IoT products from on-device image generation to factory defect inspection. Notable wins include reducing defect-escape losses by $300K/year, cutting ETL latency from 5s to 700ms for near-real-time telemetry, and protecting $1.5M from fraud via transaction service design. He also publishes practical engineering guides, an ebook and courses on high-load systems and functional OOP alternatives, reflecting a blend of practitioner depth and developer education. Based in Bali, he combines pragmatic architecture with operational rigor to deliver measurable business impact.
