Senior🎓
Top SchoolDavid Tomassi is a Senior R&D Engineer with 8 years of experience specializing in program analysis and machine learning to detect software defects and Android security vulnerabilities. Based in Sacramento, he has advanced from graduate research—where he led the BugSwarm project and studied ML/static-analysis approaches to null pointer detection—to applied security engineering roles at Kryptowire/Quokka.io. He blends strong academic credentials (MS and BS in Computer Science, near-perfect GPA) with hands-on production work such as building CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and scalable analysis tooling. Colleagues would call him an "engineer in practice, scientist at heart": he pairs rigorous research methodology with pragmatic solutions for real-world security problems. An often-overlooked strength is his experience leading multidisciplinary student teams to maintain and evolve complex datasets and toolchains that power reproducible software-research experiments.
