Senior🎓
Top SchoolDavid Weis is a robotics-focused software engineer with 11 years of experience building reliable, low-latency systems for autonomous vehicles and humanoid robots. He has led technical development at Wayve—improving fleet MTTF from under an hour to 300+ hours, designing RDMA/shared-memory messaging, and delivering OTA updates—and now applies that systems-level rigor at Fauna Robotics. Comfortable across hardware integration, sensor stacks (camera, lidar, radar, audio) and fleet-scale operations, he combines hands-on engineering with production reliability and testing strategies like hardware-in-the-loop. A former startup lead and lecturer with an MSc in Robotics, he’s equally at home designing navigation stacks or teaching programming fundamentals. Off-duty he collects googly eyes and explores Rust for autonomous systems, signaling a playful curiosity that often surfaces in pragmatic engineering solutions.
