Top SchoolDawn Wages is a developer relations leader and Python advocate with nine years of experience building communities, programs, and developer-focused product strategies. Currently Director of Community and Developer Relations at Anaconda, she shaped Developer Relations from the ground up and created the "Four A's of Anaconda Advocacy" to drive awareness, alignment, activation, and authenticity. A longtime contributor to the Python ecosystem—Wagtail core team member, DjangoCon organizer, former PSF Chair and now PSF Fellow—she blends technical storytelling with hands-on Python work, CPython tooling, and GTM for developer adoption. Her background spans developer experience roles at Microsoft and enterprise product work at Lenovo, plus consulting for research teams and nonprofits, giving her a rare mix of program leadership and pragmatic engineering. She co-hosts the Sad Python Girls Club podcast and is known for ethical open source stewardship and community activation initiatives that extend beyond code. Based in Philadelphia, she’s also a photographer, Star Trek fan, and dog owner—details that reflect her creative approach to technical community building.
