Top SchoolEben Eliason is a Principal Product Designer based in Los Angeles with 15 years in UX and over five years leading design strategy for complex software products. He blends a BFA in interactive media with a second major in computer science from Carnegie Mellon, enabling him to bridge creative vision and technical implementation and to contribute code-aware design solutions within agile teams. Eben has led cross-functional teams from hands-on UX work at One Laptop Per Child and Pentagram to directing design and computation at Oblong and now shaping product at Gruntwork. His practice emphasizes evidence-driven UX—persona development, journey mapping, and rapid prototyping—while maintaining a knack for turning research insights into elegant, developer-friendly experiences. Quietly, his background in computation gives him uncommon fluency in building design systems that scale with engineering constraints.
