Top SchoolEd Babcock is a Staff Software Engineer with 13 years of experience driving scalable, high‑traffic systems at a Fortune 100 e-commerce company where he focuses on reducing latency, cutting development cycles, and preventing technical debt. He combines hands‑on expertise in React, Node, Clojure/ClojureScript and distributed systems with a knack for aligning leadership strategy to engineering execution across multiple teams. His recent work includes redesigning multi‑layer CDN/caching to improve page speed and load, introducing A/B testing patterns that shrank release cycles from weeks to hours, and helping teams adopt AI‑assisted workflows to raise throughput and reduce bugs. Comfortable in ambiguous, high‑impact problems, he prefers designing resilient microservices and platform patterns that scale under peak holiday traffic. A former founder who built a scraping backend for 50,000 hotels, he brings entrepreneurial product thinking to solving long‑term platform challenges. Based in Minneapolis, he pairs technical depth with a pragmatic, language‑agnostic approach to shipping reliable customer‑facing systems.
