Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolEfstathios Stivaros is a Senior Developer with nine years' experience building and rescuing Ruby on Rails applications, currently leading performance and API re-architecture efforts at Shopify. He combines full-stack fluency (Rails, some React/Vue) with infrastructure-as-code and CI experience, and has repeatedly improved observability, profiling, and DB performance to scale complex product APIs. As a founder and team lead he has grown and mentored engineering teams, introduced testing and SDLC discipline, and negotiated technical change with non-technical stakeholders. His background includes large public-sector migrations and product features enabling merchants to support vastly more variants, showing a pragmatic focus on reliability and business impact. Colocated in Limassol, Cyprus, he brings both hands-on coding and an affinity for stabilising messy BaU systems so teams can ship faster. Uncommonly, he pairs deep Rails expertise with a product-minded approach to instrumentation and staged, participatory change.
