Top SchoolEge Korkan is a software architect and IoT specialist with nine years of experience driving adoption of Web of Things standards and technologies across Siemens Smart Infrastructure. Based in Munich, he blends academic depth—as a former TUM PhD candidate researching distributed system design—with hands-on R&D and standardization work at the W3C, focusing on protocol bindings, testing, and interoperability. He now advises the CTO Office to scale standards-driven solutions enterprise-wide while co-leading the Eclipse Thingweb project to deliver practical open-source components for IoT developers. Ege’s background spans embedded firmware, FPGA and hardware design to cloud-enabled device architectures, giving him a rare full-stack perspective on connected systems. Colleagues value his ability to translate standards into testable, production-ready tooling and to onboard diverse teams into open-source ecosystems.
