Senior🎓
Top SchoolEiríkur Hallgrímsson is a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer and seasoned Python systems developer with over two decades of hands-on experience in Linux, TCP/IP and embedded platforms like Raspberry Pi and Odroid. He blends deep low-level C and kernel work (including custom kernels and low-latency patches) with high-productivity Python for ETL, PySpark, network automation, and bespoke firewall management. Comfortable across dynamic languages (Go, Nim, Elm, Coffeescript, Ruby, NodeJS) and scientific stacks (NumPy, Pandas), he thrives on unusual hardware, exotic input devices, and tailoring Linux for quasi‑embedded applications. His background spans government ML/NLP projects at HHS, blockchain provenance systems, and secure industrial control on Raspberry Pi, demonstrating both product-facing delivery and security-first engineering. A lifelong Free Software advocate (with computing roots dating back to MIT-AI in 1979), he favors infrastructure that preserves personal digital sovereignty over cloud surveillance. Talk to him about blue‑sky architectures or just hand him some Python to fix—he oscillates effortlessly between strategic design and pragmatic implementation.
