Senior🎓
Top SchoolElena Cano is a Web Engineer II based in Barcelona with 10 years of experience building full-stack web applications, currently shaping user-facing experiences at Spotify. Trained in Software Engineering at UPC, she’s strongest in JavaScript, Vue, Node.js and GraphQL while staying comfortable in Python and React to avoid language lock-in. Her career spans fast-moving startups and product teams where she’s specialized in frontend funnels, payment integrations and rich editors, backed by hands-on backend and API work. A regular hackathon participant with a portfolio of side projects on GitHub, she brings a maker’s mentality and rapid prototyping skills to production problems. Colleagues often turn to her for frontend expertise, but she deliberately rotates between front and back to keep systems thinking sharp. Outside work she’s an avid photographer, often capturing animals and landscapes, which informs a strong aesthetic sense in UI work.
