Senior🎓
Top SchoolElwin Van Eede is a design-oriented lead frontend engineer with over 17 years in the industry and a strong focus on accessibility, inclusion, and product-quality engineering. Based in Utrecht, he drives component-driven design systems and fast, maintainable Vue/Nuxt frontends—recently leading the Nord Design System and Therapy Unified Platform efforts at Nordhealth. He combines deep hands-on skills in Web Components, TypeScript, Lit, and CSS with practical improvements to developer experience such as migrating monorepos to pnpm and switching testing to Vitest for real-browser component testing. His work has measurably improved performance, deployment times, and adoption across large products used by tens of thousands of professionals, and he has a knack for turning RFCs into company-wide technical direction. Beyond code, he has led hiring pipelines, documentation and designer workflows (migrating Figma toolkits to variables), showing a rare blend of technical, product and organizational impact.
