Top SchoolEmanuel Okello is a software engineer with 11 years of experience building user-focused web applications and improving product delivery from Kampala, Uganda. He has shipped front-end and full-stack solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js and UI frameworks at distributed teams like GitStart and helped clients such as SourceGraph, Cypress and OnDeck. Emanuel pairs hands-on engineering with mentorship and technical support—conducting code reviews, teaching computing, and guiding junior developers through Microverse and classroom roles. His work has driven measurable impact, from boosting hospital workflow deliverables by 80% to helping clinicPesa secure over $150k in grants via a modern web interface. Comfortable in remote, YC-linked environments, he treats code as a tool for clear thinking and continuous learning. Once a student, always a student: he blends curiosity with practical delivery to solve product and UX challenges end-to-end.
