Top SchoolEmir Ribić is a Director of Engineering based in Sarajevo with 11 years of experience building and leading backend-focused teams and cloud-native systems. He combines hands-on Go development with technical leadership across startups and scale-ups, having driven architecture, refactors, and microservice decompositions at companies like Polymer Search, Claire Automotive, and Damudo. As a co-founder of ByteBuds and former maintainer work on the Sentry Go SDK, he blends product-minded engineering with operational rigor and a strong emphasis on testing and reliability. His open-source contributions to an idiomatic Golang RESTful starter kit highlight a focus on test infrastructure, JWT auth, and robust RBAC/database assertions. Emir holds a master’s in computer science and consistently surfaces non-obvious improvements—like reducing API rate limits via webhook persistence—to improve system resilience and developer velocity.
