Emmanuel Briney is a seasoned engineer with a PhD in electromagnetism who transitioned from academic research to hands-on 3D graphics and engine R&D before moving into cloud-native developer tooling. He co-founded and served as CTO of iVoltage, porting advanced shading, physics and GI techniques to mobile, and earlier led next-gen rendering work on Amiga-era assembly through console and PC titles. Since 2015 he’s been a Member of Technical Staff at Docker, helping bring container workflows to Mac and Windows and bridging deep graphics expertise with developer platform engineering. Based in Paris, he combines rigorous scientific background with practical product-building experience, and uniquely pairs low-level systems fluency with cross-platform graphics and infrastructure work.
