Summary
👤
SeniorEngin Gem is a software engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience specialising in GIS, cartography, and interactive map platforms. He blends deep knowledge of both proprietary ESRI stacks and open-source geospatial tools to deliver web and mobile mapping applications, spatial databases, and metadata integrations. His work spans natural hazard modelling, geostatistical analysis, and data-sharing portals, and he has produced cartographic outputs for projects, dissemination materials, and published books. Comfortable across C#, ASP.NET MVC, Python, PHP and front-end technologies, he builds end-to-end solutions from spatial SQL in PostGIS/Oracle Spatial to responsive map UIs. Based in Windsor, UK, he is passionate about visualising complex spatial data in ways that invite user interaction and exploration—often applying advanced analysis techniques not obvious from typical developer bios.
