Summary
🤩
RockstarEric Hoffmann is a Senior DevOps Manager based in San Francisco with 8 years focused on DevSecOps, cloud automation, and GxP-compliant infrastructure for life sciences and energy tech. He has led teams to adopt GitOps, unit-tested IaC, and automated vulnerability remediation, cutting manual commissioning effort by over 87% and consistently reducing cloud and security spend at scale. At Lyell he architected per-commit GxP qualification and CI strategies that turned validation into an automated, auditable process, and his work was highlighted on stage at AWS re:Invent. Comfortable bridging security, compliance, and developer velocity, he’s driven enterprise-wide tooling choices (Wiz, checkov, gitleaks) and integrated GenAI into testing frameworks to measure relevancy and hallucination across models. Earlier roles show deep experience transforming QA and CI systems into IaC, rebuilding Jenkins on Kubernetes, and scaling testing for complex distributed systems. He pairs pragmatic engineering leadership with a knack for turning compliance-heavy constraints into automated, developer-friendly workflows.
