Top SchoolEric Hoover is a patient-focused Patient Care Technician and Accelerated BSN student at Indiana University who brings 16 years of professional experience and a former career as a full-stack/cloud software engineer to clinical care. He pairs clinical competencies—vital signs, mobility assistance, infection control, and documentation—with analytical rigor and systems-thinking honed building AWS-backed web platforms and automations for pharmaceutical clients. Eric has led small engineering teams, automated FDA-compliant QA processes that saved hundreds of hours annually, and taught full-stack development, demonstrating an ability to translate complex workflows into repeatable procedures. In healthcare settings he leverages that background to anticipate failure modes, streamline handoffs, and escalate patient concerns quickly and effectively.
