Senior🎓
Top SchoolEric Nieuwenhuijsen is a seasoned cloud and security leader with a decade of hands-on experience bridging software engineering, DevOps, and platform operations. Currently CISO & VP Engineering for Cloud Platform & Operations, he has led major cloud migrations, SOC2 control design, and FinOps initiatives while managing large engineering and support organizations. His background as a developer and systems engineer gives him a rare ability to write the "glue code" that automates self-service and reduces operational toil across complex distributed systems. Eric combines practical boots-on-the-ground leadership with strategic architecture thinking, applying Conway's Law to align org structure and software design for measurable efficiency gains. Based in Leiden, he’s known for driving innovation rather than hiding behind best practices and for translating regulatory and reliability requirements into scalable, testable platform solutions.
