Senior🎓
Top SchoolEric Silva is a seasoned technology leader with over 25 years of experience building cloud-native platforms, integrations, and secure infrastructure primarily in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. He currently leads platform and data engineering at Pfizer, driving DevSecOps, infrastructure-as-code, and scalable compute and data environments that accelerate research across global R&D teams. Comfortable in regulated environments, he blends deep technical hands-on skills (Python, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Docker, Java) with architecture and governance knowledge of FDA/EMEA compliance. His background spans MuleSoft platform leadership, large-scale event-driven systems that processed over a billion messages, and earlier Java/J2EE application development and CMS work, giving him rare full-stack infrastructure-to-application context. A pragmatic advocate for automation, peer review, and open source, he also brings a knack for translating research needs into resilient, auditable platforms. Based in Reading, PA, he pairs engineering rigor with curiosity—he’s a photographer and self-described geek who contributes to community projects alongside enterprise work.
