Senior🎓
Top SchoolEric Zhuo is a data engineer based in Sydney with eight years of diverse IT experience and a final-year Bachelor of Information Technology focused on Software Technology and Cyber Security. At Allianz he leads data engineering for marketing and large-scale product standardisation initiatives, managing 60+ daily batch jobs, building ETL pipelines, and contributing to a migration from on-prem Hadoop to Azure. He has rotated through full-stack, scrum master, cyber security and process roles, giving him strong cross-functional fluency between engineering, stakeholder engagement and operations. Eric combines practical technical delivery—data modelling, ingestion and hub transformations—with process improvements like standardising on-call frameworks and training distributed teams. He’s delivered end-to-end projects that inject risk and external data (flood/cyclone, insurance life products) into analytics platforms to improve business decisioning. Notably, his background in mechatronics and electronics study alongside IT gives him systems-thinking and engineering rigor beyond typical data engineering paths.
