Top SchoolErick Shaffer is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with nine years of experience focused on developer productivity, system clarity, and high-leverage tooling, currently enabling engineering teams at Cisco Meraki. He has a proven track record at Salesforce of shrinking developer feedback loops—cutting CI and test times from hours to minutes—by rebuilding pipelines, optimizing services, and introducing reusable YAML/Docker components. Comfortable across Python, Java, Bash, Kubernetes, GCR, Prometheus, and Postgres, he combines hands-on automation with pragmatic observability to reduce toil and free petabytes of storage. Erick often surfaces non-obvious wins—like consolidating 20+ noisy logs into a single actionable failure log that slashed support requests by 80%—and prioritizes solutions that scale across thousands of developers. Based in Meridian, Idaho, he brings a systems-minded approach to developer enablement, turning operational bottlenecks into repeatable platform features.
