Erik De Wildt is a Technical Consultant II with over a decade of experience designing, operating and automating large-scale datacenter and WAN networks, primarily within KPN's corporate and datacenter environments. He combines deep networking expertise (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, QoS, IPv4/IPv6) with hands-on automation and SDN skills, driving tooling and platform work using Cisco NSO, YANG, Python/Django, Ansible and containerized deployments. As team lead for KPN’s network automation group he blends operational know-how with software practices—building resilient, automated control planes and operational tooling backed by message queues, databases and CI/CD. Trained across networking and software disciplines and currently exploring functional programming with ClojureScript, he brings a rare cross-domain perspective that helps turn complex carrier-grade network requirements into auditable, repeatable automation.
