Top SchoolErik Nijenhuis is a pragmatic software engineer with 11 years of experience building Linux-first server and client software from Leeuwarden, Netherlands. He combines system-level curiosity with a holistic view of projects—designing architectures, integrating third-party components, and producing clear technical documentation (often in LaTeX) that colleagues rely on. As a hands-on developer and informal mentor, he consistently helps teammates unblock and clarifies process details, a trait rooted in his teaching-assistant background and musical studies. Currently at Xerdi and serving on the TeX Users Group board, he balances practical engineering with stewardship of technical communities. Outside work he fuels creativity by cooking curries, noodling on guitar, and wandering the mountains.
